Why would the shorts bother with a stock under 40 cents -- unless it was to suppress share price for a reason?

Maybe because historically a few days after our pps goes up it comes back down?
Perhaps the shorts see it as a (relatively) safe play, and they do it over and over and over and over again. Is it Occam's Razor that states that the simplest answer is usually the correct one? But if conspiracy theories justify what goes on in this stock for you, I shan't try to dissuade you. BTW, I DO believe our phII was sabotaged.
