I asked if I could buy with a broker and I cannot as they cannot see bid ask

wow that sucks. get etrade, they will have quotations and level 2s, I am sure there are other brokerage houses that have the same and better but that is the one I know.

The only thing is, no market orders. Limit orders only and I think you can use stop/limit order as well(never tried it).

Call in and specifically ask for online permissions. You'll likely get it.

i can't buy online either - never have been able to. i hoped that would change with QB but it didn't. the only way for me to buy is to call it in over the phone.
