I've searched high and low over the years concerning JJ's status as a big shot attorney working with the Chilean government to draft mining legislation, etc. Nada. Same with the pear farming business. Nothing. I've searched Spanish language sources in Chile quite exhaustively and...nothing.
Many have perpetuated these stories, but who started them? The old MP is not accessable easily (way back machine?).
