Simple extraction of weekly or monthly is much the same. The 60% ratio is found to keep outside market makers/specialists as participants but remember the bid is the genuine market.
If you have L2 data you will see a specific mm cut line and execute in-between the bid/ask.... even if the difference is minute. This will be the mm distributing the wares. He will cut line to execute at in-between and back out on the bid.
When we sign our broker agreement we all agree the broker will execute at the best price for our hand. This specific mm will take out the others in-between and your broker agreement is upheld while eliminating the other mm's then disappear on the bid. If he does this too much the other mm's will begin dropping the bid after they wipe their hands.
By cutting line this mm assures fulfilling the distribution contract and most market participants will never know. There are methods to discover this through charts but it requires an in-depth explanation to understand.
