#92988 RE: Tearex #92987

Judges recuse themselves all the time when there is a conflict of interest. And this Judge was part of a lawyer group that advocates for Illegal immigrants, so given Trumps very public stance on LEGAL Immigration, it is obvious that there could be a conflict here. AGAIN, that is NOT racist.
"Trump told the journal the judge’s background was relevant because of his campaign stance against illegal immigration and his pledge to seal the southern U.S. border. "I’m building a wall. It’s an inherent conflict of interest," Trump said."

Nope. Sorry. If the case was about Trump firing illegal immigrants then you'd have a very valid point. However the case was regarding Trump University and Trump was claiming he can't get a fair trial from a Judge who believes in immigration BECAUSE HE IS Hispanic.
Therefore, Anyone can claim they can't get a fair trial due to a Judge's beliefs. What's to keep any black man from checking the history of most Judges in the south and determining they had ancestors who owned slaves, then claiming they can't get a fair trial?
Again, you must trust that the elected Judge can do his job, regardless of his feelings, or else every Judge must be pre-judged based on their belief system.
As to a Judge recusing himself, it's typically if he knows one of the people in the trial, or is indirectly affected.
