I'm not expecting any big announcements today. The past couple weeks have seen some very big announcements. Having preferred supplier status with General Dynamics, Lockheed-Martin, BAE, and Newport News is a great thing. Having worked for General Dynamics, I can attest that becoming a preferred supplier is no simple task and takes a long time to be qualified. In addition, these companies have narrowed their suppliers over the years, so getting into either of these companies is a huge thing, let alone 4 of the largest defense contractors in the world. I look for big contracts being announced soon.
The Navy is now in the development stage of replacing the Ohio class of submarines. Being a preferred supplier to both General Dynamics and Newport News is huge news. The joint venture between Niocorp and IBC Advanced Alloys is brilliant as it will give Niocorp a supply chain of Sc-AL alloys to all of these defense contractors. Mark Smith is the single largest shareholder of both companies and he has reached genius level. GLTA
