On point #2. There was 76 billion in loss reserves at Fannie and 60 billion in loss reserves at Freddie . There were plenty of recessions in history of these institutions and that amount of loss reserves could have covered 4 more recessions. No other financial companies at that time were that over -reserved. Can you find me any companies with the magnitude of loss reversals in 2013 that the gse's had!
