Hope is very much still alive.

He can't give timelines and is hesitant on stating target dates because of how the 10Q release went. He doesn't want to build false hope and add unnecessary pressure for anyone.

But, definitely hope for updates, an acquisition perhaps, financing perhaps, etc. Any and all likely mean another run of PPS.
