Bulldzr, it's my understanding from what I've read that THEY Kerry, and most of all Obama have done just that ... QUITE a FEW TIMES .. and just the other week, when China would not bring out the Steps that the President was supposed to come down on ..

As a matter of fact . . the last answer from China that I read was that they sort of think it's none of our business .. They THINK it's their responsibility not ours ,,, that is what they said .

If you look at this article .. then look to the right . .YOU will see all the latest action Obama and S. Korea are talking about and we hope something works .. I do wonder though .. I really do ... I don't think sanctions are effective with 'them' ... China is the key .. and I don't see them helping that much ..

I think the Chinese understand the North Korean threat very well. After all, they're a neighbor; much closer than we are.

bulldzr -- I believe we can all rest quite assured such discussions have been held, and continue -- China, and for that matter Russia, no doubt well understand that if North Korea starts a war, our response will be immediate and exceedingly brutal, nothing off the table

and on the same nothing-off-the-table level, Clinton, entirely in the open in a recent speech, reiterated the Obama administration's position, stating categorically that North Korea will not be permitted to achieve a strategic, as in nuclear, missile capability -- period, full stop
