Thanks nlightn,

>so,...even though you made a nice handsome gain it appears that by your post you are seeking to hold a bit longer to hit the higher premiums ($3.30).

Yes. Lately I've been trading the options a week out. So my profit on a move has been in the $200-250 range. If you don't take it, it will disappear quickly on any reversal. And it's been a very reliable profitable trade. Now playing the up close option the movement is greater. Couple that with the swings lately you get mega moves. I haven't adjusted to "let it run."

>have you worked out a plan to stay longer in the position and reap the higher rewards ?

Yes again. But it's not in the walking stage yet. But I'm sticking with SPY. PP's work very good here.

Your 10 contract is the right way. But remember I'm buying as close up as possible to insure a profitable trade. And I'm only into this plan about 2 weeks. And sometimes I hold over night. 5 contracts is a survivable loss should I be totally wrong.

Last week I lost a lot of good money in trades because I didn't move quickly enough. Still made profits. But a lot less money.

But I really like the way the SPY's trade this idea. I've stopped with the PCLN, GOOGL and AMZN. As you know PP's are better with Indices.
