True Story of Civil War Soldier and the Underground Railroad is Told in the Acclaimed "UNION BOUND" - now on DVD at Walmart Stores Nationwide

HHSE, +1.74% The historical feature film drama tells the story of Joseph Hoover, a Union Soldier who was captured at the battle of the Wilderness and taken to the notorious prison camp Andersonville. Hoover and a friend escaped prison and were aided by slaves via the "underground railroad." The film was produced by Uptone Pictures and Moving Box Entertainment, and is being distributed by CMD Distribution and Hannover House, Inc.

Hannover House released UNION BOUND to theatres in more than 65 USA Markets on April 22, 2016, and was supported in the release by major theatre circuits AMC, Carmike, Cinemark, Malco, National Amusements and Regal Entertainment Group. The film's release onto DVD this week is through Walmart and other major retailers and video specialty shops. The DVD units have a suggested retail price of $14.95 each.

Sargent Joseph Hoover went to war to preserve the Union. After being captured and sent to a prisoner of war camp, he understood what it was to be kept against his will. Together with a friend he escaped and aided by slaves made it to freedom.
