Here is my 2 cents on Bookman:

1) he seems like the most competent member of management.

2) that is not really a complement as I think they are all horrible executives.

3) he drove V3 into a brick wall at 100mph and still faces legal troubles over it.

4) he strikes me as a guy trying to keep his head down and keep his paycheck - fighting the good fight for ANY but I doubt he has much in the way of power or influence. My understanding is EK doesn't like advice.

5) He strikes me as illiterate in terms of capital markets and even securities regulations. When I read on the private boards some of the stuff he was supposedly telling people I cringed as if true (I have no idea and comments could be out of context) he could be in a lot of hot water. As a public company exec you just can't say stuff like that.

IMHO Overland is a sewer, Glassware is worthless, and only V3 (as mainly a reseller of VMWare software and Nvidia cards) has some residual value. Given Bookman is most familiar with that area I'd say he's important to the fading hopes of ANY.

Is Bookman a willing accomplice or an innocent dupe? Is he a competent IT professional or an IT dummy? Let me ask you a few questions:

Do you think that Bookman is a competent technology professional?

If the answer is yes, how would a competent IT professional NOT know Glassware was the product of hype and an over-stimulated imagination?

If the answer is no, why would you believe anything he had said about the tech, its capabilities and its potential?
