#22903 RE: DataStream #22902

Well said! Much more elequent than the post of mine that was deleted. I can't agree with you more!

Sadly the anti npe lobby (Google et al) have been spending a great deal on political favors to have laws altered to their advantage-AIA.

Many are starting to see how these lobbyists completely altered the law in their favor (Roberts as you said seemed worried about what's going on at the ptab etc), others such as the past director of the PTAB has said there are major issues with that law and Alice / 101 is being interpreted wrong.

It's quite sad that those championing the death of patent rights don't understand how brainwashed they have become from the "troll narrative" and as a result, fail to see what is really behind the push for the destruction of patent rights. It's not "innovation", it's the financial interest of big tech to have pseudo monopoly power. And ironically, by championing the death of patents, the same people are supporting the killing of innovation as patents are key for small companies and people with simply an idea, to find venture funding.

No start ups, no new jobs, no new industry, no new economic growth. Only group that seems to help is large incumbent companies that don't want competition.

Anyone who's done any basic research on the topic and understands corporate strategy can see what's going on here, and it's not about "trolls", it's about creating the environment for big tech to face less competition.

As most understand, less competition doesn't lead to innovation, just look at Russia when it was commmunist!
