Ya Know if everyone understood the "Process" of what it takes from initial contact to an actual product being ready for a film then selling of that film by the optical film maker, then folks would be a lot calmer about TIME.
Even for someone less discerning than the Japanese(notoriously finicky), it takes quite awhile. Its not an AMAZON purchase with 2 day ground shipping!

NOBODY HAS A 100% CAD FREE QD on the market.

Technically, it's not "hearsay." TCL published the info in the second article I posted. The funny thing is Nanosys says it's the same TV from CES which was clearly stated as not cad free earlier this year. TCL may be marketing it as cad free although it's not 100% free, but under the limits. Nanosys wouldn't likely call it cad free or refrain from smh reference since they know the difference and see the technical experts who's companies performs be depends on delivering a product that meets these cad and cad free specifications.

"Firstly, it uses environmentally friendly, cadmium free Quantum Dot technology, the most advanced technology that makes High Dynamic Range (HDR) more dynamic by enabling TVs to reproduce pure colors with lifelike brightness using cutting-edge nano-crystal technology. In addition, primary colors wavelengths delivered by Quantum Dot technology are narrow enough (around 40nm) to meet digital cinema color gamut at 93% of DCI-P3 color space."
