They could make cad free then, but they did not have the IP to produce it. That's likely why they bought the Bayer IP.

I would have to go back, until recently per Dr. Stott earlier this year they are continuing to perfect Cad Free working with Nitto. Kisco switched pitching QMC vs our UK friends Nanoco at CES.
