Gravity will always claim its rightful place. You can compress air into a liquid gas but the vessel it is in has too be made of heavy steel and gravity rules.
There is NO wing for lift in the present Flyboard AIR design. So I don't hold this to be more than a, "Oh that's cool" notion.
Fly-boards (water) are kind of interesting. I keep wondering how close they get to the JetSki and if there has been any accidents where the Fly-board rider crashing into the Jet Ski. At first I was impressed with the FB-AIR. But I now see it as a gimmick. Seems Franky has just appropriated varied off the shelf technology.
What is proprietary besides the Algorithms? They too might be eminent domaine.
I would like to see a list of Zapata's 'proprietary's..
