#10006 RE: Frizzo #10005

No, sorry never met the man. This was Christmas ’72, Sea Star was in Little Dix Yacht Harbor as was the Yacht I was on. I was invited aboard by a crew member for a tour and a beer. She had twin V-12 diesels, could de-salinate 1500 gal. of water a day, had a dumbwaiter and was spotless. She did have what was called a knock down, which was when the Captain had too much sail up and was blown over by the wind. I don’t know how long he kept her. I think she might be chartering in the Med. currently, under the name Sea Joy. And was 122’, not 114.

And you are right. Much of the natural beauty that people can enjoy today on St. John and Virgin Gorda is owed to Laurance Rockefeller.
