#22434 RE: Richyrich985 #22407

Well, I have been self employed for the last 40 years.

I don't know a single person that would take that long to get a permit, or permits.
They would have them pretty much secured BEFORE they rent a huge place in a strip mall.

Think about it, the monthly cost to pay rent, insurance, utilities, etc every month is normally quite high, even somewhere like Pittsburgh, PA. I would think rates in California are probably double or more based on real estate values. Once you get the keys, you have a remodeling plan already done, contractors lined up, permits pretty much in hand, Cash on hand to get you through remodeling, Hiring and training employees, some marketing to generate excitement, etc. You would probably already have the menu laid out and ready for printer, and start that process. Everyone would have hard deadlines. One goal could be have everything ready to open in 30 days. As you see your money going out fast, your focus is on getting open and generating revenue ASAP.

A year ago we say pics of tables and the inside of supposedly that place showing some lumber and a few things to indicate someone is doing something. Since it was already a restaurant, things were pretty much already set up for the intended use. You would want to change it some to make it look like you want to. Nothing extensive needed, but make it your place.

Well, we never saw anymore updated pictures again of remodeling. We saw pics of a cool U Pour It system being installed. The pics really could have been taken anywhere as there were none of the restaurant part, just I back room. Being A public company that hasn't done anything but sell stock for 10 years, you would think they would keep us constantly updated, since they "Tweet" all the time. But we have not seen anything for a year before Rich took some pics.

They are supposed to be 50/50 partners with Kevin S. UPZS claims they have over 500k in assets at the brewhouse. But yet, no where in the accounting can you see how they paid their share. Also in the financials, there is no expense for their part of the rent, insurance, remodeling, permits, legal help, printing, etc. You would think they would be taking a substantial loss paying 50% of those coasts for a year. But noting at all in the financials.

Ten years ago, the same Kevin was involved in a Unique store in California, I think he never paid any franchise fee or monthly fee and used the Unique name. Didn't last long and went out of Business. So Kevin and Jim have known each other at least 10 years.

With what I have said, you can see why some of us here, who know the company well are skeptical about things. Yes, we would like to see it open, but need to see it open and working before we believe.

Then we have certain individuals granted "Master Franchises" for States. They were given 10 years to open the stores. Well, not one of them has opened a single pizza shop the last couple years. You would think, If you wanted and were granted, even for free, a master franchise, you wold be excited, and have a plan. By now there would be SOME pizza shops open in your area. Think about it.
Its Pizza, not hard to make, not hard to Open a Pizza shop. Where is the Desire and Drive to act???

Was the 10 years a way to just make us forget???

When people or companies loose your trust, They really have to earn it back. They are not doing a very good job of that to those of us who know them, invested in them, for the last 10 years. Some say, I don't care about the past, things are different now. Yea, we thought that every few years also.. always ends up the same.
