The move in SWN (main competitor to CHK in the ng space) happened against the grain as well from the 5's to the 13's and 14's where that stock price is today. Part of the move in my belief is the fact that SWN showed an improving balance sheet and maybe the shorts started covering as well. I see the same thing happening here in CHK….and I have remarked several times here as well that CHK has been and still is a laggard in the energie sector. Add that to perception…..and you have the possibility….I said possibility….of a sustained uptrend always with bumps along the way.
