Quoting Malcolm Philips:

CEO STATEMENT

January 24, 2003

We have now officially begun the marketing process for our first chemical detection product, the PS3 (Personnel Security Screening System). The PS3 is a battery/AC powered, hand-held scanner and portable processing unit that uses ultraviolet (UV) energy to detect trace amounts (residue) of explosives in the PS3 database.
The PS3 detects these substances on areas impacted by the UV energy, such as clothing, skin, countertops, luggage, computers and personal items (e.g., using the scanner inside of purses and backpacks). (The attached PS3 brochure provides features/specifications. If unable to open, get free Acrobat Reader here. ) The PS3 is mobile, quick, and safe; requires no operator interpretation; and can economically augment existing explosive screening systems. The PS3 can also be constructed in a “man-mobile” (e.g., backpack) platform. The PS3 database is expandable to include other explosives and illegal drugs.

Note the word "begun".

I'm still waiting for Paige to update us on the "on sale bar" and "public use bar" clauses of 35 USC 102(b).

diddy I always somewhat respected most of your posts but on this one i must say you are FOS.LOL

You asked me to look up Tout.

I did!

Websters
tout3. to praise or publicize loudly.

You evidently didn't read far enough or you over read the meaning.

That doesn't say anything about selling to PP investors.
That just means Cdex's touting, is announcing that they have a new product capable of saving lives in hospitals.
That they have a new product in the works that may cut into the drug trade.

Every damn company that ever existed had to tout their dreams before they achieved success,or got financing.

As for touting to solicit PP investors, that also is a crock. A PP investor would normally be an intelligent individual
and as we all know the meth gun is still a maybe.
Perhaps they could base the potential of the Meth Gun, on the obvious success of Cdex's ValiMed system,a since the technology seems to be similar.

As for the marketing of the PS3. Is it not the least bit possible that, that is where Malcolm learned his lesson.
Remember he admitted he didn't really have business knowledge as such.
He possibly pushed the PS3 to fast and too soon, without the proper testing,in realistic situations, and in spite of brochures,it wasn't going to do the job.Possibly he learned this even before the first unit was made.

The smart thing to do would have been to table it and eat the embarrassment it caused.

It possibly made them look over the whole situation and shelve everything that was not consistant with an early success, even the booze checker with its limited market.

Just maybe that situation made them realize that they needed a Jim Griffin to run the show,so soynarah, Malcolm.
Just a thought, that I know does not fit in with your scam
scenario.
