thanks pay - already started chart school...my technical analysis is in it's infancy so any help is appreciated...had been looking at the chart around last quarters financial reporting and saw that it built up to it's high pre-reporting, hovered for a day or two, then fell back to resistance. If that same situation happened this time around it seems like a perfect time to flip, but if it is the beginning of cup and handle formation than, if i understand, the handle is a consolidation before the big breakout and would be too tight a trading range to make flipping feasible. Is this interpretation correct? TUVMIA

on rereading i see that the handle is necessarily a pullback it's just a matter of degree...the more bullish the less the retracement that forms the handle. don't know if i'm an accomplished enough trader currently to flip in that circumstance...obviously don't want to miss the big breakout...guessing that will be the time to flip as it forms a new base. upward channel would be fantastic.
