I have used about five different brokers over the years and all of them, including TDA, allowed it. But I have heard of some that don't. It could also be that their software isn't set up that way and you could probably get them to change it after the trade. I have actually done that when I picked the wrong lot - they just went back into my account and put back the lot I didn't want to sell and got rid of the one I did.
