I'll quickly share what I thought was a hilarious moment .
I have been staying at a RV beach resort for a couple months , and the other night I quite surprisingly found myself sitting around a camp fire popping brews with a couple self proclaimed stock gurus ;)
As the discussion wore on it was obvious they were VERY taken with themselves . I happened to mention , " Well , this is kinda cool , a stock broker , a gold and precious metals player , and a small investor (me) sitting here exchanging ideas ."
Note; I was halfassed kidding because these two guys barely had a grasp of day to day market trading and the nuances of companies that flew under the SEC radar .
Infact they severly scolded me for wanting SEC intervention in the pinks . Idiots !
I was sitting there relaxed and not really caring much one way or the other how the convo was going because they both clearly exposed their inept understandings , tho both were "profesional" and had (poor fugging) "clients" , that have never seen greater than a 6-8% annual return .
Truth be told , they don't have a fking clue what they're talking about outside (brokerage suggested) mutual funds .
Annnnyway , after a minute this one twit tells me (straight faced) "What a moron , day trading , you don't know shit!"
The fun starts right about here;
[Bare in mind , I'm 6'0" and 210lbs , surf regularly , and have 5 years of martial (Kempo) arts background , and this guy is 5'8" and 150lbs (constipated) .
I look up (he's standing) and I say to the guy sitting next to me , "Did he just call me a "moron" ?"
The "twit" looks around (with UH OH in his eyes) and says (realizing he's not at the moment sitting in front of his PC and is acting like the stupid pompous ass he's used to being online) , "I'd better go now !" and beats feet the hell out of there like he saw a ghost .
I couldn't help but laugh my ass off . Not many funnier sights that day .
So , even when I'm away from the fray , there'll always be someone to remind me of my moronage mentality . Even at theirown peril . Whatahoot .
