Austin is just beautiful John. I lived there for a year in the early 90's. It's built up a bit since then, bit is still very nice. You might not like the humidity compared to LV.

Wife and I discussing retirement possibiliites are looking at San Marcos, about halfway between Austin and San Antonio.
