Yea, buying SVXY is not for fainthearted and I'm scared every single time LOL... and I've probably bought at least 200 lots since 2011. If I wasn't scared, I'd go all in but I never do even when it seems like such common sense.
This time around I actually accumulated one of my biggest positions right around $40 because Britext seemed like an overreaction (to me at least) since it's a long process and not set in stone anyway. But what gave me confidence is data from VixCentral... I don't remember exactly but I think we stayed in Contango or right on the edge the entire time market was panicking.
Anyway, all we can do it monitor these historic moves and take notes. I definitely have learned a ton over the years and this is now my favorite trader.
