Yeah, I love that about IRA's. At least you only have to worry about paying taxes when you withdraw money. I hate having to tally out all of the buys and sells at the end of the year for taxes. One year I didn't turn in anything, but my brokerage account turned in all of my sales. They didn't turn in any of the buys, so it looked like I made over 100 grand, when in actuality it was only about 2 grand. At the time I thought option trades (losses) counted in with the total loss, so I didn't need to turn anything in since I lost money. Needless to say, I was audited and had to pay in some more on taxes. And I lost money that year because of the options. I learned my lesson with that. Lol
