#218821 RE: lasers #218820

To be consistent with my nom de plume, I have to offer this link...http://www.wsj.com/articles/teva-to-buy-allergan-generics-for-40-5-billion-1437988044

As you can see, the decision was made a year ago...still, it was all contingent upon the FTC decision; which is new. But, as you can see, the purchase caused Teva to drop its pursuit of Mylan. In truth, in the bigger picture, it is likely that the sale of the generic line by Allergan was consistent with what Pfizer preferred in order to move on with the M&A with Allergan.

Once the PFE merger fell through, I was waiting for the FTC ruling because I knew it would enable Allergan to return to its acquisitive ways. For the record, I am long Allergan. Now, as to what this MIGHT mean for Elite...

I think that, Nasrat's Actavis/Allergan connections aside, the better strategic alignment - generics and pain meds - is with Teva. Now, whether Teva would be interested is another matter. I have been criticized for suggesting Teva, Purdue, and Pfizer as potential partners for Elite, or as their acquirers. For that I can only say...Sorry, my strategy background is showing.
