That's what he brought up .. and I tend to agree with.

The fact Kevin is leaving amicably .. plus all this news about China firms investing in the DRC makes sense of a speculative buyout.

We'll see I guess .. but wouldn't be surprised.

Nope! Why announce search for new CFO if they already have a replacement CFO? They wouldn't.
Additionally, if Baiyin is set to acquire Banro with a buyout, why just a week ago would #1) Baiyin agree to loan Banro $10M, and #2) why would Banro agree to sell 50% of all gold dore production to Baiyin? They wouldn't. Buyout not in the cards currently.
