If one adds the Middle East, I think that would bring the patent count up to let's say...... Hmmmmmm...... Let me guess.... Ummmmmm.... Oh ya, 69 countries?

"Uber has been spending not only to expand but also to defend its territory — which covers 460 cities in more than 69 countries — against incumbents in regions like Southeast Asia and Europe. China, in particular, is a difficult battleground, as Uber is spending millions"

Wasn't China the last announced patent? If I'm correct!!

I follow you Col, I have a sneaking suspicion Uber has been in contact with World Moto, they need to catch up to DIdi when it comes to the Asian market domination, Africa would be an extra on top of World Moto's Indian and Asian networks. Uber gets thrown out of Thailand and World Moto releases a PR about being legal in Thailand? Definitely a small trail to lead one to a possible World Moto buyout? Merger? Investment? This fall will probably see the ride app markets merge and develop into a new Animal. All those big time investors Saudi Arabia, GM, Volkswagen and Apple are going to be looking for their investments to develop. Could be a great time to be invested in any ride sharing technology.
