There is vacuum of clear direction and clear thinking about the modern world and where we are headed. Into that vacuum, being human beings, will come fear. That is where Donald Trump or Vladimir Putin or any of the world's historically bad ideas for leadership (Hitler, Stalin, etc.) comes in. Right at the apogee of uncertainty and fear.

First, let me say that I am no fan of Donald Trump. That being said, it would be difficult to find anyone more clueless about the internet than Hillary Clinton.
