I'm not aware of any significant institutional investors who were taken in, and not many individuals. Red flags were everywhere.

Too bad for Watchdog Bob this isn't 1998. In 2016 quality stocks dominate.

So you think Bob came "THIS close" to success with MMR?

Read the late-1990s filings in SEC.gov for his Smartalk operation. SMTK was actually pretty small by just about any measure other than market cap--the value of the briefly inflated shares. Too bad for Bob and his investors that tech mania ended with the meltdown of 2000. By 2002 nearly a thousand diaphanous techs vanished.

I don't see that Lorsch ever created anything of enduring value.
