I would say 5-10 yrs and Carl could be gone. He is no spring chicken that is for sure. He is still quite sharp now but health declines can be a huge negative..

Brent and David have done well with the Sargon portfolio. But yes your post is well taken.

Carl has a short position 146% which is way upside down, Trump Casino, and his current short positions are all ugly..

I have owned IEP for some time and always take stock in leu of cash dividend.. For me it is a long term 'high rate' savings Acct. But how long of turn I don't know.

In Carl's credit he feels the present bull market is going to fail terribly. He has done well over the years taking this sort of gamble.

In my opinion I would be adding rather than selling IEP. BUT timeline should be several years of accumulating at CURRENT price and always reinvesting dividends automatically.

I might want to wait it out for a few days and try to add low of price as possible. There 10% return on IEP at this price.

My FEAR is Carl's age more than his ability to invest.

BUT Brent and David are helping him now and they are capable IMO.

For the brave buying IEP low now i believe that Carl's short positions will soon start to come in.. and that will be when news turns from Politics back to Business.

IMO Carl screwed up on energy and not getting back into AAPL.

I welcome others views..
