There's nothing he can tell you about when they will file. The whole purpose was to alert them. So that if they are late again, they better inform us one way or another.
So we will see what happens. They may still not file anything or let us know anything if they are (only) a week late. But that's when a lot of uncertainty kicks in and that's not good for the stock.
You also have to give them some time on this. It may take them days to figure out if they should file another amendment to the 10-K. That's why I said it's best to contact them today.
