Yes, I'll never understand why there is this assumption that because some options are at a certain price, that this is the price the company will magically sell at. Obviously its something unique to pink sheet land (where incidentally, there are rarely ANY cash buyouts at all), as in all my years, I have never seen this mentioned in any real world actual buyout.
How about this? A company will pay what it thinks a business is worth. That value has nothing to do with what price some options may be keyed to, nor will it be influenced by those options.
Are we the only ones that understand this TR1?
