At a given power output and a given voltage on the supply, yep. Check and get a card that runs at the lowest available voltage. You also might want to cut the power down also, the power consumed at 100mw is more than 3 times that at 30mw, but it cuts your range in half. Even so, that should still give you 100 ft. or more at 11mbs free range. Less indoors, how much less is depndent on a lot of facts. Since 1mbs is not too much of a problem with a PDA, you might get by with even lower power. There is also a lot of variation between radios, IIRC AMD's 802.11b solution is a lot better on recieve and transmit than some of the competing ones.
