Thanks for the follow up rickn. From strictly an investment point of view, because after all that is the reason I am here---Amazon and its Comixology have been around for years, POWfolio is the new kid on the block. With the addition of the other Comic sites, pay or no pay for view, they will all "steal" from one another. With what I am seeing and my Investment and, in the case of REDG ,gambling background I feel that when the dust settles POWFolio will have a good chance of being one of the leaders. That is one of the reasons that keeps me invested in the stock and also I have become fascinated with this business. Thanks again rickn. Tlsmd

Ratings in the apple app store are somewhat of a guarded secret but here is short summary from a very good article about how they come up with the ranking.

While neither Apple nor Google have revealed specifics about how they calculate search rankings, it is generally accepted that both app store algorithms factor in:

Average app store rating
Rating/review volume
Download and install counts
Uninstalls (what retention and churn look like for the app)
App usage statistics (how engaged an app's users are and how frequently they launch the app)
Growth trends weighted toward recency (how daily download counts changed over time and how today's ratings compare to last week's)
Keyword density of the app's landing page (Ian did a great job covering this factor in a previous Moz post)
