Thanks man. I was pretty much assuming the same that they just abandoned that idea for the H2 generator. Personally I think this is more exciting and much more promising than the solar concentrator. But hey once they change the world with cheap clean hydrogen why not go back to this and dominate solar cells as well lol. They have an amazing team that could do it.
Per his recent LinkedIn profile (Nirala's)...it seems he has moved somewhere else. I can't comment if he still does something for McFarland, Moskovits group, or UCSB in general.
Also, Eric McFarland (as of beginning of this year) is back to full time professor at UCSB, after coming back from Australia.
Also interesting to see that Vikram M. Pattarkine, Ph.D. - Senior Advisor, Water Treatment (per Hypersolar website) doesn't even mention Hypersolar on his LinkedIn profile. Interesting....not crazy.
