Edgarcayce, I think you're over-reacting. That's not to say that you shouldn't sell--that's your decision. Ruiz has done the costcutting that needs to be done so that if AMD64 is a success, AMD will profit and live on. If AMD64 is a dud, it doesn't matter whether or not they make or miss forecasts this quarter or next; they're dead in the water even if they had managed to break even this quarter. Anyone who is in this stock for the medium or long term is counting on a successful launch of a competitive Athlon64 and the increased acceptance of Opteron. If those things happen, AMD will succeed and the stock will go up. If they don't...

edgar, I should pull out now.

I think that´s what you should do. I know the feeling of getting too emotional about a stock (I won´t say what it was), but that´s generally a very bad thing and won´t allow you to make your decision based on reason anymore. Judging your position by the way you´re talking about AMD stock, you should have sold ALL your shares many quarters ago. It´s not too late yet. Only come back if you really feel good about it again. Just some friendly advice, do whatever YOU feel is the best thing to do. If you want to know what I do, I´m in for the long term and plan to sell sometime in the middle of 2004, maybe later if things go according to plan.

Regards,
