If there are no oil shows from the core sampling, it could be one and done. Obviously CEPSA picked the prospect that they thought had the highest probability of success.

If there are oil shows that would indicate that there is a working petroleum system and that the failure of the well was due to that particular trap. That would probably be due to either the lack of a seal to trap the oil or the lack of good reservoir rock. This circumstance would likely justify another try. The question then is when and how long can ERHC stay alive while they wait for another well.
