heard a few years ago in Canada, the Columbia River, where it's headwaters start, has 2 mining operations dumping in the Columbia,,, as it is to close to the border, Canada doesn't get after them and on the u.s. side nobody can get any reaction from any regulatory agencies, etc., etc.
then we have Hanford nuclear leaking in for many many years...
