RE 65nm production kinks...
The data that shows me INTC 65nm is going quite nicely is a simple trip to the local retail outlet. Over half the systems on display these days are 65nm. I do think US retail is higher end than the market in general, but INTC 65nm product is VERY plentiful.
Pesonally, I don't see 4x4 making a dent in anything consumer. The server market already has the equivalent with two socket opteron systems.
With the loss of the high end market, the only hope I see for AMD earnings is that they use their capacity and make it up with much higher volume in the mid-range. I do think this could happen, but is unlikely. I would not be surprised to see AMD in the red around Q1 2007... I don't expect much upside in the Intel earnings numbers for quite some time.
