That is what I thought to, initially... but:

1. It's only Dan, parttime working for ERHC and..
2. Ongoing work on the well, could also include "(...) works are ongoing to plug the well (...)
3. (...) "according to a reliable source".

Why is anyone speculating when a call by someone with longtime connections to big jane should provide accurate information on this situation?
