Wow... Not sure what information leads you to believe this, but so far I would say Intel is very happy with the progress. Latest projections are for more than 10Mu to ship by years end, which makes this the fastest ramp I remember. The fact that several folks have already reported building systems, and building them with the very fastest announced product is also somewhat unusual. Yes, there was a very long and loud lead up to this product transition... but I am not sure what that has to do with the state of the launch, which seems to be very strong.
All that said, I am not at all bullish on Intel stock right now. More due to macro economic factors, and overall saturation of the PC market than anything else. I remain very negative on AMD stock.
