Other factors in predicting price.*

I don't know anything about trading VIX futures. To me, it's just a number.*

I have a question also. The numbers and the chart given on the CBOE website are never the same as on the vixcentral website. This is odd, since the VIX comes directly from CBOE.*

In particular, the CBOE website gave these numbers, shown below.*

This is not a good comparison, because I am looking at highs and lows for daily prices, but "closing" prices for futures.*

Still, it seems obvious that the closing futures were getting unusually low, about same time as the lows of the day were getting unusually low.*

See the series of numbers going backwards: 11.12, 10.89, 11.58, 11.32, 10.83, 11.82, 12.55, 12.66, 11.51, 12.08, 12.56, 12.92, 14.68, etc.*
