Hmm i cant say that ive ever seen only certain parts of a company go public. How would investors know how much time was being devoted by management to those certain parts?
At this point I don't think any of us care what kind of deal it is, as long as it's a deal. If it's a buyout, I'll be happy. A merger (most likely the case) I'll be happy. A partnership, I'll be happy. As long as it's some type of deal we're good.
