Cayman, the business license is needed to obtain a UBI number which is used to pay your taxes. No license no UBI number. How can the company pay taxes without a UBI number? How can the auditors verify proper taxes, filing fees, etc. have been paid without a UBI number?
Second point, they claim to have a NY business address. in the U.S. you cannot have a business address in the U.S. without a business license. On the company's website they have always claimed to have a NY office. If you have an office, you need a business license to conduct business. It's really as simple as that. They have ALWAYS claimed the NY in all their K's nd Q's also.
