RE: difference between institutional and individual interests

After looking reasonably close, I don't think it's possible for the outside observer to know the difference. I believe that there's one exception. Several times I've seen brief news releases when institutions cross a set percentage of the company's assets. The number 5% sticks out but I honestly don't remember. I did look into it once and I believe that it's part of the Swedish national financial code.

About my earlier post, I left out some information that I meant to include.

My limit order currency was Swedish krona trading in Sweden.

I told the representative that I wanted the order Good Till Cancelled. It was a little over an hour until market close in Stockholm and I wanted the order to be filled by the end of the day Monday (because of the holiday here) if it didn't fill completely on Friday. He told me that they didn't allow GTC orders to extend beyond the original trade day. I took it to mean that multi-day GTC orders didn't exist in Sweden. He might have just meant that it was for the Fidelity International Trading.

Why sells were listed as buys.

There is a HELP - TRADE REPORTS link on the "Trades" page that explains the buy/sell terminology. The logic for this convention seems plausible most of the time. Obviously, there are exceptions. It's probably good as a general indicator.

More importantly to me, I'm reasonably certain that I was able to sell this lot of AMAVF shares at the higher market asking price in Stockholm than was available in the US only market even with the higher commission.
