I remember when we first moved to Texas....Bergstrom AFB...Dad was the Army Liaison Officer to the 12th Air Force (Gen Patton got him that gig) ...our base housing was great....next door to the Officers club....on the fairway to the 9th hole on the Golf Course....BUT.....very close to the maintenance shop.....a few days there....at....2 AM.....I heard the first afterburner from a F4 they were working on....straight out of bed....WTF?????
After a month....you got used to it...lol
