You get a once in a year event here and there, but it is rare not like in 2009 where they were showing up every other week. Hell in 2012 they were about every couple of months. But that has really thinned out, just a few that might pop, as I said earlier, usually pushed by a group or a fake tweet on twitter, or some off shore person hijacks the shell and runs it from Belize... lol
Hell one of the scarier ones was pulled last year, by faking out FINRA and the DTCC on a dividend, these are a little more complex and not your usual pump and dump crowd.
You are more than likely to find pump and dumps on the NASDAQ in the low price securities than on the OTC these days.
CDNL surely looks like a classic, but it is far from the norm.
