The problem is SMR really haven't been able to find a niche to fill. In China they have such a high energy demand compared to nuc power production. In this situation building multiple, massive 3-4 reactor plants vrs 8-10 SMRs makes the most sense. The SMRs are more particle in low density areas of the US where a full 1-2 reactor plant isn't practical. However, natural gas is so cheap that it even pushing full size reactors out of business. Now the good thing for lightbridge is they just received patent approval in both Japan and China. Once testing is complete these two markets are going to be key money makers.
